HAREKET ET(TIR/E)MEYENLERDEN MISINIZ?**
Bir Yaratıcı Hareket atölye-performans serisi olan Soapbox (Sabun Kutusu), ismini 19. yüzyılda ihracat icin kullanılan tahta sabun kutularının, özgür ifade ve sosyal diyaloğun doğaçlama bir şekilde sahnelenmesi için kullanılmasından gelir.
Bu atölye ile, fikirlerimizi ifade etmeyi ve etrafımızdaki kişilerle bağlantı kurmayı hareketi kullanarak, bedensel olarak keşfettiğimiz bir buluşma noktası yaratacağız. Bireysel ve toplumsal hareketlerin ne olduğunu, birbirimizi nasıl dinlediğimiz ve birbirimizle nasıl iletişim kurduğumuzu, ve dünyada nasıl bir değişim yarattığımızı sözlü ve sözsüz olarak sorgulayacağız.
Her deneyim seviyesine açık olan bu 3 günlük atölye, meditasyon, Qigong, doğaçlama, partnerli çalışma ve Otantik Hareket ile katılımcılarına rehberlik edecektir. Bu hareket çalışmalarının devamında toplumsal hareket, performans ve protesto, dışavurum ve iletişim konularını ele alan söyleşilere aracı olacağız. Atölyenin sonunda katılımcıları, dış bir mekanda doğaçlama bir performansa davet edeceğiz.
Her gün, Coco Karol ve Azmi Mert Erdem’in eşliğinde hareket etmeye başlayıp Zeynep Kocaoğlu’nun yönlendireceği grup söyleşisi ile devam edeceğiz. Soapbox atölyesi, Karaköy’deki Space Debris Sanat Galerisi’ni Seyhan Musa’nın ses calışmaları eşliğinde kutsal ve oyuncul bir hareket laboratuarına dönüştürecek.

Soapbox is a Creative Movement workshop-to-performance series whose name evokes the impromptu stages of 19th century soap-crate speeches, where wooden export crates became platforms for performative expressions and social dialog.
This workshop uses movement to create a meeting place to explore how we as individuals use our bodies to express ideas and connect with people around us. We will question verbally and non-verbally what individual and social movement is, how we listen and communicate with each other, and create change in the world.
Suited to all levels of experience, this three day workshop will guide participants through meditations, qigong, improvisation, partnering, and authentic movement. We will employ these movement practices before entering into moderated discussions concerned with social movement, performance and protest, expression, and communication. We will invite participants to create a final outdoor impromptu performance.
Each day will begin with movement lead by Coco Karol and Azmi Mert Erdem and continue with dialog facilitated by Zeynep Kocaoğlu. The Soapbox workshop will turn the Space Debris (Karaköy) into a sacred playful movement laboratory with sounds by Seyhan Musa.
