Tate Britain Barbara Hepworth'ü Ağırlıyor
Londra'da gerçekleşen 50 yıllık en kapsamlı Barbara Hepworth sergisi 24 Haziran'da Tate Britain'de açıldı. Sergide sanatçının ahşap, taş, bronz heykelleri dışında nadir görülen eserleri yer alıyor. 20. yüzyılın en önemli heykeltıraşlarından Barbara Hepworth'ün eserlerinin yer aldığı sergi, sanatçının 1968’den sonra açılan ilk kapsamlı sergisi olma özelliğine sahip.
70'ten fazla işin yer aldığı "Barbara Hepworth: Sculpture for a Modern World" isimli sergide Hepworth’un meşhur oymaları ve bronzları özellikle dikkat çekici. Serginin bir diğer önemli özelliği de sanatçının daha önce hiçbir yerde görülmemiş fotoğraflarının gösterilecek olması. Hepworth arşivinden alınan ve artık Tate koruması altında olan fotoğraflar içinde sanatçının 1930 tarihli bir otofotogramı da bulunuyor.
